Voting for the cinch Player of the Month award for November is open, with supporters able to choose the Saint they believe made the biggest contribution on the pitch throughout Northampton’s second month of the 2025/26 season.
The competition will remain open until Wednesday 10 December, when the winning player will be announced by Northampton Saints and cinch.
Throughout the season, cinch are also offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes. For November, one lucky winner will receive a Saints ball signed by the winner of this month’s award!
Saints began their November with a 26-17 victory over Harlequins as the PREM Rugby Cup picked back up, but, after taking a bye week, Northampton were then defeated by Newcastle Red Bulls (14-31) and then Leicester Tigers (34-22) in the same competition in the following weeks.
The Gallagher PREM returned after the three rounds of the Cup were played, with Northampton defeated in the competition for the first time this term when they travelled to Bristol Bears (46-12).
With those clashes in mind, Saints’ coaches have selected five nominees for the monthly award: George Furbank, Ed Prowse, Oliver Scola, Toby Thame and JJ Van Der Mescht.
Club captain Furbank made his long-awaited return to play in November, featuring in a Saints shirt for the first time this term as he played 173 minutes of Saints’ rugby in November. The 29-year-old featured at fullback and fly-half over the month and returned in fine form, making 29 carries across the month and scoring a try against Tigers.
Prowse has enjoyed a strong month in Saints’ second row, featuring in all four outings across November. The lock performed well on both sides of the ball, making 26 carries and 47 tackles last month – while also hitting some 69 attacking rucks and earning Northampton four turnovers.
November marked a big month for young prop Scola, as the 19-year-old made his senior Saints debut when he started against Harlequins. And a maiden try would follow for Scola as he crossed the whitewash at the close of Saints’ clash with Tigers, while also making 11 carries and 19 tackles throughout the month.
A man who was ever-present in Saints’ November matches was Thame, as the centre featured for the full 80 minutes in all four clashes – making 47 carries and 41 tackles across those matches.
Finally, while Van Der Mescht only featured in Saints’ two final outings in November, the lock announced his return to action in fine try-scoring form – collecting a brace against Leicester before crossing again in Saints’ trip to Bristol.
