Voting for the cinch Player of the Month award for September is open, with supporters able to choose the Saint they believe made the biggest contribution on the pitch throughout Northampton’s opening month of the 2025/26 season.
The competition will remain open until Thursday 9 October, when the winning player will be announced by Northampton Saints and cinch.
Throughout the season, cinch are also offering up a range of prizes for those who vote for the award, with one lucky supporter each month selected at random after voting closes. For September, one lucky winner will receive a Saints ball signed by the winner of this month’s award!
Saints featured in two competitive fixtures in September as they kicked off 2025/26, opening their PREM Rugby Cup campaign with a 49-34 victory on the road before starting their Gallagher PREM season with a 33-33 draw against Exeter Chiefs.
With those clashes in mind, Saints’ coaches have selected five nominees for the monthly award: Anthony Belleau, Callum Chick, Ed Prowse, James Ramm and Edoardo Todaro.
Saints’ new recruit Belleau played every minute of Northampton’s rugby in September – scoring his first 22 points from the tee, while also impressing in both attack and defence as he made 18 carries and 15 tackles, securing seven turnovers across the two matches for Saints.
Fellow newbie Chick announced himself onto the scene in a Saints shirt in some style as he crossed the whitewash for a hat-trick in the Club’s season opener at Saracens, while racking up an impressive 33 carries and 14 tackles across the two games.
Lock Prowse continued his impressive run of form from last term, making 14 carries and 11 tackles across his two outings while also hitting some 39 attacking rucks.
Winger Ramm began his season with a brace of tries against Saracens, impressing as he featured for the full 80 minutes in both clashes as he made 20 carries and secured five turnovers across September.
Finally, 19-year-old Todaro made quite a splash as he started his senior rugby career, scoring two tries on his Gallagher PREM debut and making 14 carries across the month.
