Scrum-half Cobus Reinach has been named Steffans Player of the Month for December, after claiming a whopping 85% of the votes submitted by the Club’s supporters.
That completes a impressive double for Reinach in December, after the South African also scooped the player of the month award for the entire Gallagher Premiership.
The 28-year-old South Africa international beat fellow nominees Dan Biggar, Luther Burrell and Teimana Harrison to the award after a string of fantastic performances over the course of the month against Newcastle Falcons, Worcester Warriors and Exeter Chiefs.
Reinach will be presented with a brand-new watch, provided by Steffans Jewellers, at Northampton Saints’ home clash against Leicester Tigers – which falls on Saturday 26 January (kick-off 3pm).
Saints and Steffans have once again joined forces this season to offer fans and players alike the chance to win fantastic prizes each month.
Voting will open for January’s award following the Premiership Rugby Cup fixture against Tigers, with Steffans also offering a special prize for those that vote; one lucky supporter who votes for their Player of the Month will win a £100 Steffans voucher to spend in store.
This month’s winner was Alan Shelswell, who was selected at random out of almost 1000 supporters who voted.
