Northampton Saints’ newest partner Thomas Cook Sport has today launched its brand-new service for supporters hoping to voyage into Europe wearing Black, Green and Gold.
Not only do Thomas Cook Sport (TCS) offer fantastic value on trips that include flights, all airport and matchday transfers, as well as match tickets, but they will offer the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly there alongside Saints’ players on the same charter flight*.
TCS, the UK’s leading sports tour operator, last week also became the official Team and Supporter Travel Supplier for the Club.
As well as organising first-team travel for the senior squad as they embark upon the new 2018/19 campaign, TCS will provide supporter travel for Saints’ European away matches and any domestic cup semi-final or final until July 2021.
TCS are offering an unparalleled opportunity for supporters to travel on a charter flight direct into locations which are otherwise tricky and time-consuming to reach – starting with Saints’ trip to Timisoara in December.
Northampton’s voyage into Romania will be a first for the Club, making this one-night excursion to Timisoara – the capital city of Timiș County and the main social and cultural centre in western Romania – groundbreaking for Saints supporters.
And while many of the Franklin’s Gardens faithful will have visited Clermont Auvergne last season, few would doubt that the intense atmosphere and raucous crowd make the Stade Marcel Michelin a must-visit ground for any rugby fanatic.
“While we didn’t get the result we wanted, the trip to Clermont-Ferrand last year was a hugely enjoyable experience and one I’ll never forget,” said Andy Pape, a lifelong Saints supporter who travelled to Stade Marcel Michelin last October.
“This was my first trip away with the club and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but from the moment you arrive at the airport everything is looked after. All you need to worry about is the game!
“Travelling on the same plane as the players is a truly unique experience and made us feel like we were part of the squad.”
