Tuesday afternoon saw the tournament launched at Shelford RFC and it was Soham Village College who were crowned Cambridgeshire champions after they overcame Linton Village in the final.
Two days later they were joined by Lincroft School who lifted the Bedfordshire cup at Bedford Athletic RFC with a 12-7 victory over Ousedale.
Both runners up will also compete at Finals day on April 24th, with the Elite Insurance Sevens Series final set to be held on the main pitch at the Gardens.
The battle for supremacy kicks up a notch next week with over 40 teams involved across legs in Suffolk and Northamtponshire, including reigning Elite Insurance Sevens Series champions Northampton School for Boys.
A record number of schools have signed up in 2014, while the Elite Insurance Sevens Series will also break new ground when the Saints head for Oxfordshire.
