Elliott hoping Saints can push on

Over the past fortnight Saints have shown both sides of their personality, the forwards powering to a win at Worcester while the backs stretching Bath past the West Country outfit's limit.

Elliott's two tries against Bath earned him the Travis Perkins man of the match award, while a similar performance at Newport-Gwent Dragons back in November saw him be short-listed for the 2012/13 LV= Breakthrough Award, and he was understandably very happy to be on the receiving end of the scoring passes.

"There have been a few games where we've left points out there both home and away, but I'm glad that we got back on track against Bath and can look forward towards the end of the season and pushing to get into the top four," the winger told SaintsTV.

"You have to show a lot of character when you're playing the game and we did that against Bath, especially when we went behind.

"I was happy to score, but it's all about the team performance and so I was happier that we got the win in the end.

"The crowd were great, geeing us up. Hopefully they went home happy with our performance and will come out again this Saturday for London Irish."
