Engage Try Convert to Touch on July 29th

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Engage Try Convert, part of the nationwide Spirit of Rugby project co-ordinated by England Rugby and funded by the Spirit of 2012, are working with Northampton Saints to run a Mixed Gender Touch Rugby Tournament with a multi-cultural twist!

The tournament will take place at Franklin’s Gardens on Friday, July 29th, prior to the Northampton leg of the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens Series and all participating players will receive FREE tickets to watch the Sevens later that evening.

To encourage wider participation in rugby union amongst the Eastern European community, the tournament will follow a slightly different set of entry rules and regulations:

- All players must be aged 16+

- Teams can be made up of both male and female players

- A squad may consist of a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 12 players

- All teams must have at least two players originating from an Eastern European nation

The tournament will run between 5:15pm and 6.45pm, with the Singha Premiership Rugby Sevens Series kicking off shortly afterwards at 7.00pm.

If you are interested in entering a team send an e-mail to [email protected]. Applications close on Monday 25th July and teams will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
