The scrum-half will lead out his country at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday to face Ireland. George Pisi lines up in the centres against Brian O’Driscoll and Gordon D’Arcy in what will be a foretaste of what is to come in the Heineken Cup this December.

It promises to be an emotional occasion for the Islanders after the death of Samoa legend Peter Fatialofa this week.

“We will be dedicating the game on Saturday to Peter's work not only for Samoa but rugby,” said Samoa manager Sami Leota. “We aren't here to make up the numbers but to give it our best.”

Saturday's game in Dublin is being shown on the BBC's red button service from 5:30pm.
