Four Wandies changes for trip to Worcester

Northampton Wanderers have made four changes to their side to travel to Sixways to face Worcester Cavaliers this evening in the Premiership Rugby Shield.

The men in Black, Green and Gold – led by academy head coach Mark Hopley and academy manager Simon Sinclair – are chasing a spot in the semi-finals of the competition with three matches remaining of the group stage.

Wandies sit second in the Northern Conference despite a narrow 31-29 loss to Wasps last time out, and will be hoping to close the gap to Newcastle Falcons ahead of them with a place in the final four at stake.

Tom Emery, Matt Worley, and Devante Onojaife are all named in the side once again after getting on the scoresheet last week, but James Grayson and Charlie Davies come into the half-back berths.

Northampton make only one change to their pack; England under-20 international Alex Coles switches to flanker to make room for James Craig in the engine room, and the back row is shuffled further with Onojaife stepping into the No.8 jersey.

Meanwhile there are four guest players amongst the replacements for Wandies, with Jack Culverhouse (Ampthill), Ed Taylor (Bedford), Tom Jubb and   Robbie Povey (both Coventry) hoping to make an impact off the bench.
