Fullback George Furbank has been named Steffans Player of the Month for February, after claiming over 60% of the votes submitted by the Club’s supporters.
The 22-year-old beat fellow nominees Alex Mitchell, Api Ratuniyarawa and Francois van Wyk to the award after a string of fantastic performances over the course of the month against Newcastle Falcons, Sale Sharks and Bath Rugby.
Furbank will be presented with a brand-new watch, provided by Steffans Jewellers, at Northampton Saints’ home clash against Gloucester Rugby – which falls on Sunday 7 April (kick-off 3pm).
Saints and Steffans have once again joined forces this season to offer fans and players alike the chance to win fantastic prizes each month.
Voting will open for March’s award following this weekend’s Challenge Cup clash against ASM Clermont Auvergne, with Steffans also offering a special prize for those that vote – one lucky supporter who votes for their Player of the Month will win a £100 Steffans voucher to spend in store.
This month’s winner was Sarah McLaughlin, who was selected at random out of almost 500 supporters who voted.
