Next Saturday’s Aviva Premiership regular season finale is going to be shown live on BT Sport.
Premiership Rugby’s broadcast partner has chosen the Saints’ trip to Gloucester as one of the two matches they will be showing from Round 22, the other being Harlequins’ home game against Exeter.
Both games have plenty riding on them. Gloucester’s win at Sale on Friday night put them back into the mix for a top six finish, while the Saints’ win over Bath kept them ahead of Harlequins and the Sharks in the chase for the Champions Cup.
Harlequins’ own bonus point win at London Irish in Round 21 edged them ahead of Sale into sixth spot, but they will need a win over Exeter to stay ahead of the Sharks, who have a final day trip to Newcastle.
However the Chiefs, who moved into second spot with their win over Wasps, will also need a win to stay ahead of their rivals in the hunt for a home semi-final, especially because Wasps finish with a home match against already-relegated London Irish.
Harlequins versus Exeter will be on BT Sport 1, with Gloucester versus Saints on BT Sport 2; every game in Round 22 will kick off at 3:30pm.
