Saints return to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens this Friday to open their Heineken Champions Cup campaign, welcoming Racing 92 to Northampton in the competition’s opening round.

The men in Black, Green and Gold will lock horns with Racing for the first time since 2015 (kick-off 8pm), with the side’s last match in Northampton ending in a 9-9 draw. But the French giants boast a side packed with star quality and have come out on top in all three of the other clashes between the two clubs, and Chris Boyd’s side will have a stern challenge on their hands as the European tournament gets underway.

There are a few things you’ll need to be aware of before you arrive at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens....

We must ask all supporters to continue to help keep everyone within the stadium safe. The government’s updated rules on face coverings from Friday 10 December state that members of the public and Club staff are required to wear face coverings at all times in the indoor areas of sports stadiums.

All attendees are strongly encouraged to both wear a face covering at all times at cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens, and complete a negative lateral flow test before arriving at the ground on matchday – even if you have already had one or both jabs of a Covid-19 vaccine. Please note, there is no legal obligation to wear a face covering in the stadium bowl or provide a negative lateral flow test before entering the stadium, so the Club are reliant on supporter discretion within the ground.

If you are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms and/or are required to self-isolate, please DO NOT travel to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens. And if you feel unwell after arriving at the stadium, please return home immediately if you are able, or contact your nearest steward and you will then be directed to our medical team.
