With 16 teams already having signed up, the 2014 tournament’s size has meant a switch to the College’s Booth Lane campus, which features both excellent playing facilities and ample car parking.
This year’s tournament begins on Monday, June 23rd, and reaches its climax on Monday, July 28th.
Team entries are still being accepted. Entry costs for the six-week tournament are £150 per team, with a non-refundable £75 deposit to guarantee your team’s place due before June 6th.
It is the perfect opportunity for club teams to stay sharp during the off-season, for companies to take part in some group bonding away from the office, or groups of friends to try their hands at a new sport!
Touch Rugby is a great way to keep fit during the summer, and is one of the fastest growing versions of the game. Played by mixed teams of men and women aged 16 and over, Touch Rugby emphasises running, agility and ball handling skills.
Games are played on a pitch half the size of a normal rugby field, with teams of six on the pitch at any one time. Squad sizes can be unlimited, with rolling substitutions throughout the games.
