Hutchinson called up by Scotland for Six Nations

Northampton Saints centre Rory Hutchinson has been selected for Gregor Townsend’s 39-man Scotland squad ahead of the 2022 Guinness Six Nations tournament.

The 25-year-old will be looking to add to his five international caps achieved to date, having made his Scotland debut in 2019 and last featured for his country during the 2020 Six Nations.

The squad will meet up at Oriam on Monday 24 January for a training camp before reconvening the following week ahead of the Calcutta Cup clash.

Scotland Head Coach Gregor Townsend said: “When you look through the squad this is the most competitive I’ve seen it in so many areas and that’s testament to the strength and depth we have.

“The Guinness Six Nations is the best competition we have in rugby so to be involved in it is a real privilege, especially starting with our oldest rivals in front of a sold-out home crowd.”
