Hutchinson in for Scotland in Six Nations opener

Northampton Saints' centre Rory Hutchinson has been named in the Scotland side to face Ireland in their Six Nations opener this Saturday (kick-off 4.15pm).

Heading to Dublin to get the championship underway, Hutchinson – who made his international debut this summer after a stand-out season in Black, Green and Gold – will be looking to claim his fourth Scotland cap if he enters the action from the bench.

Scotland Head Coach, Gregor Townsend, said: “We have managed to cover a lot of work in the two weeks we’ve been together and we’ve been impressed with how our players have taken on information and bonded as a team.

"Our goal is always to play to our potential. The challenge to do this starts on Saturday against Ireland."
