Rory Hutchinson has capped an impressive start to the season by being named the Steffans Player of the Month.
The Scotland Under-20 centre – who earlier in the year made a stunning Aviva Premiership debut with the try of the season so far against Exeter – beat off strong competition in a supporter vote from man mountain Louis Picamoles and club captain Tom Wood, whose own form warranted a recall to the England starting XV.
Still just 20, Hutchinson remains a member of the Saints Academy through which he has progressed, but has featured in seven of the Saints’ 12 fixtures in 2016/17 so far, also crossing the whitewash in the recent Anglo-Welsh Cup win over Newcastle.
