It’s going to be an afternoon of fun at the Saints’ summer fete

Northampton Saints supporters are set for an afternoon of fun and games at the Franklin’s Gardens summer fete this Saturday.

The club’s playing squad - spearheaded by Ethan Waller - has put together a wide range of activities that will keep all the family entertained.

Supporters will be able to have a crack at the crossbar challenge, slip and slide with tackle bags, and test their aim at a rugby ball coconut shy. But as well as the rugby skills there will be the more traditional summer fete stalls manned by players, too, including hook-a-duck, cake sales, face painting, bouncy castles and much more.

Food and drink stalls will be open, too, and there will be the chance to win some great prizes in a silent auction and raffle that has been supported by a range of local businesses.

The summer fete runs between 12noon and 4pm, and while entry is free for all supporters are encouraged to bring some change to donate to the two local charities that will be benefitting - Alfie Bear’s Journey (raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity) and Give Sam A Hand, which is supporting a 21-year-old Saints supporter’s fundraising for a state-of-the-art prosthetic arm.

Car parking will be in Car Park D on Edgar Mobbs Way.
