Emmanuel Iyogun is set to make his senior England debut after being named as a replacement for this weekend’s encounter with Argentina.
The 25-year-old, who made his 100th Northampton Saints appearance in the Gallagher PREM Final victory over Exeter Chiefs last month, is now set for another milestone in his very next game of rugby, which takes place on Saturday 18 July in in Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades (kick-off 8.10pm BST, live on ITV1).
Iyogun will become the 73rd Saints player to play for England, and become the club’s first England debutant since Henry Pollock – who joins him on the bench in Santiago del Estero.
Elsewhere in head coach Steve Borthwick’s squad for their final match of the summer, Tommy Freeman remains on the right wing and Fin Smith at fly-half for their respective 30th and 19th England caps. Alex Coles is the fifth Saints player selected, as he earns cap number 22 from the second row.
