A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Aviva Premiership’s most commercially successful club’s corporate sales team at Northampton Saints.
The new corporate sales executive will be responsible for the generation and delivery of new business sales across the club’s wide range of corporate products.
This is an exciting period for Northampton Saints as a club and English club rugby as a whole, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear track record in sales, possess superb communications skills and attention to detail, and will be tenacious with an ambition to succeed in the challenging and fast-moving environment of a professional sports club.
Given the nature of the industry regular weekend and ‘out-of-hours’ work is to be expected.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead generation and sales for new business, such as advertising, hospitality and sponsorship for both match days and non-match day events
A focus on new business opportunities and responsible for meeting individual sales targets
Facilitate and conduct face-to-face client meetings which result from research and telesales, including negotiating and closing sales
Provide weekly sales results and forecasts to the corporate sales manager
Build and manage long-term relationships that bring about regular repeat business from clients
Attend all home match days and other departmental events
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
A minimum of two years’ proven track record in sales
Experience of prospecting and cold calling at a senior executive level
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Driven by results and a self-starter, but who is also a strong team player with good IT skills
Experience in the sports industry would be advantageous
Full UK drivers’ licence
