Curtis Langdon and Alex Coles are both set to start for England this Saturday (19 July, kick-off: 10.05pm BST) as Steve Borthwick’s side feature in their final Test of the summer, with Northampton Saints teammate Trevor Davison also named amongst the matchday 23 for the clash against USA.
England head to Audi Field for the third match of their tour, following up their 2-0 Test Series victory over Argentina in recent weeks.
Hooker Langdon – who was drafted into England’s side last weekend following Jamie George’s call up by the British & Irish Lions – will earn a third England cap in Washington as he makes his second international start, with Saints teammate Coles starting in the second row for the third consecutive Test.
Making his first appearance of the summer and his first in a senior England shirt since November 2021, 32-year-old prop Davison is primed to earn a third cap from amongst the replacements.
“We know the USA will present a tough challenge,” said England head coach Borthwick.
“There’s been a great spirit in the squad throughout this tour. The players have worked hard for each other and pushed standards every day. Those selected this weekend have earned their chance through their effort and attitude.
“We aim to keep building the squad, learn from every experience, and deliver a performance that our supporters can be proud of.”
The match against the USA Eagles will be streamed live on RugbyPassTV and England Rugby’s YouTube channel.
