Northampton Saints travel to Bedford Blues this Friday (5 September, kick-off: 7.45pm) in the Mobbs Memorial Match and their first preseason clash of the season.
The two sides meet annually in one of rugby’s oldest annual fixtures, the Mobbs Memorial Match, that was created in 1921 and honours Saints legend, World Rugby Hall-of-Fame inductee, and World War One hero, Edgar Mobbs.
The men in Black, Green and Gold will begin their preparations for the 2025/26 season at Goldington Road as they head to Blues for the first time since 2023 – when Bedford ran out 33-24 winners in the season opener that day.
Streamed in association with Clubber TV, the match will be shown live for any supporters unable to attend – with co-commentary from Saints’ Curtis Langdon and Bedford’s Tommy Herman.
