Manoa: Saints ready for ‘crunch time’

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Following Aviva Premiership clashes with the West country outfit and Wasps, it’s straight knockout rugby, the Premiership playoffs preceding an Amlin Challenge Cup final re-match with Bath in Cardiff, potentially prior to another trip to Twickenham for the Grand Final.

The importance of momentum from here on in is not lost on the American forward.

“This last month is crunch time,” Manoa said at Tuesday’s press conference. “The boys are really up for it though.

“Bath are a good team and we know it’s hard to play down there. They’ve got a good back line and a heavy forward pack but if we stick to our game plan and break them down, we’ll hopefully be alright.

“We don’t know yet who we are going to have in the semi but we want to be at home and performing well. That’s important to us.

“Like I said, it’s a big month and we’ve got to play well if we want to lift that big trophy at the end of it.”
