Moseley opened their Championship campaign against Rotherham as part of a double-header at Doncaster's Castle Park.
Prop Tom Warren started the game against the Titans, with scrum-half Alex Day and prop Adam Parkins both coming off the bench in the second half. But while Moseley fought to stay in the match, at one point coming back to within a score, they found Rotherham too much to handle, eventually going down 24-42.
Elsewhere, lock Jordan Onojaife and prop Harry Morley were part of the Birmingham and Solihull squad which got their first win of the National League 2 North campaign against Leicester Lions. After pulling ahead, the Bees had to hold on as the Lions fought back in the second half, with Birmingham running out 29-21 winners.
