North: No letting up for Saints

The Welsh wing is settling in for his first crack at Aviva Premiership glory in black, green and gold, while an Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final with Quins means no rest until the end of May at least.

Having already achieved so much in the game at just 21, it’s a rare first for North, but he is relishing what lies ahead.

“It’s exciting really, isn’t it?” he commented on SaintsTV. “We’ve got the two away and two home in the league to hopefully get ourselves a home semi and then obviously the Amlin as we’ll keep ticking along.

“It’s something I’ve never really experienced at a club level – competing in the knockout stages of multiple competitions – so I’m really looking to enjoy what lies ahead.

“It’s a good place to be.”

He may have one eager eye on the bigger picture, but North was quick to point out the challenge of the here and now, especially with first hosting second at Allianz Park to begin the afore mentioned sequence of games.

“From what we’ve seen of Saracens they’re a very potent outfit, an exceptional team. They’ve an attractive brand of rugby – very similar to how we play here – and also have that ability to crash it up and maul and brawl when they need to.

“Being away from home makes it even tougher for us but we’re looking forward to it.”
