Weather Update: Northampton Saints vs Bath Rugby

Northampton Saints’ Gallagher Premiership fixture against Bath Rugby will go ahead this evening, despite the heavy snowfall over the last 48 hours.

The cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens pitch has been covered since Monday by the groundstaff and local company Sports & Stadia Services, with a hot-air dome keeping the playing surface from being damaged by the below freezing temperatures.

In addition, the Club’s stadium staff have been working overtime to ensure the ground is fit to host a near-capacity crowd for the game.

Car Parks A, B, C, and D and the Supporter Village have all been cleared, as have the gangways around the ground.

Meanwhile, Northampton Borough Council have gritted the roads surrounding Franklin’s Gardens which provide access to the stadium – and all access to the ground by car is now clear of snow.

The Saints Store and Ticket Office will be open from midday, while the Supporters Village, Stadium and Bars will open at 5.45pm in time for a 7.45pm kick-off.

So, for all supporters travelling from both Northampton and Bath, it’s business as usual at the Gardens – but do leave plenty of time to reach the ground, take care on your journey and continue to check our website or social media channels for regular updates.
