Some of the most memorable stars of the decade that saw big hair and bigger shoulder pads dominate the world will be heading to Northampton to start the summer in style, and the Saints has now confirmed some important information about the day.
EVENT BOX OFFICE
On-the-day tickets will be available from 10am on Monday morning in the Heroes’ Bar at Franklin’s Gardens, with the box office staying open until 7pm. Tickets remain available on both the pitch and in the stands; advance tickets can be booked at www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/buytickets
CAR PARKING
Car parks open at 3:30pm. Car parking will initially be in Car Parks A, B and C, accessible from Ross Road, with Car Park D available if needed
GATES OPENING AND SHOW TIMES
Gates open at 4pm, with Hot Chocolate opening the show itself at 6pm. The Village area will be open with plenty to keep you occupied, with fun and competitions in the main arena itself hosted by Connect FM’s Gregg Nunney
There will be plenty of food and drink outlets open throughout the event, including a special beer festival from Phipps brewery, the Somersby marquee and some Northampton favourites such as Saul’s of Spratton and Frank’s Hamburgers and Hot Dogs. Pre-ordered picnics can be collected in the Rodber Suite
The show is expected to finish at around 9pm, with Rick Astley closing the evening. Other acts include Odyssey, Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston, formerly of Bucks Fizz, Katrina (ex of the Waves), Toyah and Altered Images
BRING-YOUR-OWN FOOD AND DRINK
All food and drink that you bring yourself MUST be in suitable containers, i.e. no glass, cans or ceramics will be allowed, so bring your food in plastic boxes! Bag searches will be in operation, and plastic glasses available as an alternative at the point of entry
