Old Northamptonians maintained their extraordinary run of success in the Alliance Cup, lifting the trophy for a 13th successive season at Franklin’s Gardens this past Thursday evening.
They were made to work for it, however, coming from 13-3 down to eventually outmuscle Bugbrooke 37-20 in an outstanding final on the Gardens main pitch.
Victory means that ONs have now held the trophy since 2004.
Earlier in the week, Towcestrians sealed Lewis Shield glory against Bletchley, while in the Oceanic Trophy Buckingham’s Colts side overcame Olney, also at the Gardens.
