It is the tight-head’s second season linking up with the seventh placed side and having also made a senior Saints debut earlier this year, Parkins has been busy putting what he has learned into practice in the colours of both clubs.
“We’ve had a few good results and I think Mose are as high as they’ve been in a few years,” he told the Saints podcast. “It’s going well.”
“In certain situations we’ve had our backs to the wall and I’d say you learn more when your backs are to the wall. Coming back into a Saints or Wanderers environment that’s helpful because you know what to do when the heat is on.
“Personally, I’ve got a bit of everything out of it – match fitness and regular game time along with playing for the Wanderers and I think I’ve progressed as a player. I feel like I’m becoming a better scrummager and learning the game better.”
