Pick your February favourite for Steffans Player of the Month

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

The shortlist has been announced for the Steffans Player of the Month for February, with the casting vote now lying with the Saints supporters.

A pair of home wins bookended the month – the latter taking the Saints to five straight wins at the Gardens and it was our first nominee who scored twice in that game.

As well as his two tries against Worcester, Mikey Haywood continued to excel both in the set piece and in the loose. His lineout percentage currently sits at an impressive 91% for the season, while seven scores in total make him the Saints’ top try scorer in 2016/17.

Not too far behind Haywood is the stand in skipper, Ben Foden, who started the month with a brace in the win over Scarlets – racking up his 50th try in black, green and gold in the process. Seemingly enjoying running out on the wing, Foden also crossed at Bath and was one of the catalysts of an impressive first half of attack at Newcastle

With Foden’s move out wide proving a blessing in disguise, the man in the 15 shirt continues to impress. Ace Tuala showed an excellent all round game that earned him the man of the match award in the win over the Warriors, his strength and deceptive pace with the ball in hand causing defences plenty of problems over the past few weeks.

With the shortlist confirmed, the decision is now up to you!

The winner of the Player of the Month receives a prize from Steffans, Northampton’s premier jeweller for over 30 years. Steffans remains a family-run business, with stores in Northampton town centre and Market Harborough, and a multi-award winning website.

Steffans are long-standing supporters of the Saints, providing prizes for the club’s End of Season Awards and great offers to Season Ticket Holders through their membership of the Saints Savers Club.
