Henry Pollock and Fin Smith both start for the British & Irish Lions on Saturday (12 July, kick-off: 11am BST), as the tourists face an AUNZ Invitational XV in Adelaide – with Northampton Saints teammate Alex Mitchell named amongst the replacements.
Back rower Pollock shifts into the starting line-up for Saturday’s clash – having entered the action in Lions’ 24-36 victory over Brumbies on Wednesday – to make his third start of the tour.
The 20-year-old starts alongside fellow Saint Smith, who takes over fly-half duties against the AUNZ Invitational XV to make his fourth appearance in the famous red jersey.
Finally, scrum-half Mitchell – who also entered the action in Wednesday‘s victory – is named amongst the replacements for the final match before Lions begin their Test clashes against Australia.
Lions Head Coach Andy Farrell said: “We are in a great position just over a week out from the First Test. The players now have another chance to put in a strong team performance and put a hand up for selection for the Test matches against the Wallabies. Les Kiss has assembled a strong squad with lots of international experience and we know that he will have them well organised and they will bring a lot of physicality to the contest.”
The game kicks off at 11am (BST) and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland.
