Ribbans called into England’s Six Nations squad

Northampton Saints lock David Ribbans has been called into the England squad for the remainder of the Six Nations Championship.

The uncapped 25-year-old second row replaces fellow Saint Courtney Lawes, who has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament through injury.

Ribbans was named in England’s squad for last year’s Autumn Nations Cup, and will be hoping to earn his debut international cap in one of the Red Rose’s upcoming fixtures.

Eddie Jones’ side, who are currently on a fallow week, will meet again at their training base at The Lensbury in Teddington on Sunday to prepare for their final two matches.

England will take on France at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 13 March (kick-off: 4.45pm) and Ireland in Dublin on Saturday 20 March (Kick-off: 4.45pm). Both matches will be live on ITV 1.
