Head coach Charlie Reed has selected his squad to face Gloucester on Thursday (21 August, kick-off 1pm), as Northampton Saints Under-18s hit the road for the first time this term in the second round of the PREM Next Gen league.
The young Saints started their league campaign with a high-scoring 64-51 victory over Exeter Chiefs, and Reed sticks with an unchanged starting front row of Lucas Veevers, Ferdi Barnett-Vincent and Noah Buxton, but Alex Mead comes into the second row to partner George Tonga’uhia.
Will Hepher remains captain at blindside flanker, in an unchanged back row alongside Reuben Williams and No.8 Charlie Hammick.
Jack Woods retains his place at scrum-half with Hardy Linnell moving from fullback to fly-half. Cal Tarry starts at inside centre with Ashton Cox coming in at 13.
George Cooper remains on the wing, whilst Woody Hamilton-Hurst moves to fullback and Elijah Jeyes moves from the bench into the starting XV.
On the bench, Kingsley Gallimore, Ted Warner, Ronan Perkins and Caelin Chin all retain their spots with James Civil coming in as well as Sonny Goode and Aiden Reid who return from England Under-18 duty.
