Saints duo named by Fiji for Georgia clash

Sam Matavesi and Temo Mayanavanua have both been named in Fiji’s matchday 23 to take on Georgia in Saturday’s Rugby World Cup encounter.

Fiji head coach Simon Raiwalui makes just one change to his starting XV for the Pool C clash at Stade de Bordeaux on Saturday (kick-off: 4.45pm BST), with Northampton Saints hooker Matavesi continuing in the front row.

Meanwhile Mayanavanua – a new signing this summer for the men in Black, Green and Gold – is selected amongst the replacements for the third straight match in this year’s tournament.

Following a narrow defeat to Wales and victory over Australia, Fiji will be hoping to book their passage to the quarter-finals with wins against Georgia and then Portugal in their final two Pool stage matches.
