Northampton Saints’ four Pool A fixtures in next season’s Heineken Champions Cup have been confirmed, with Chris Boyd’s side opening up the campaign with a home clash against Bordeaux Bègles next month.
The men in Black, Green and Gold will welcome the reigning Top14 champions to Franklin’s Gardens on Friday 11 December, with the game kicking off at 5.30pm.
Saints then visit the RDS Arena in Dublin on Saturday 19 December at 1pm to face Leinster – themselves Pro14 champions – for the second time in as many seasons in Europe’s elite competition.

The return fixtures will take place in the new year, as Saints first welcome Leinster to Northampton on Friday 15 January for a 5.30pm kick-off, before visiting Bordeaux on Saturday 23 January – with the final Pool match kicking off at 2pm (local time).
The Heineken Champions Cup has taken on a new format this season, with two pools of 12 teams playing four matches each to try and reach the knock-out stages of the competition – the top four from Saints’ pool will reach the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup, while the sides placed fifth to eighth will progress to the Round of 16 in the Challenge Cup.
All of Saints’ pool matches will be broadcast live on BT Sport, with their clash against Leinster in Dublin also broadcast on Channel 4 and Virgin Media.
