Saints getting behind new book initiative at Northampton General Hospital

The Saints is supporting a brand new initiative at Northampton General Hospital that will be providing patients with a library service, called the Bedside Book Club.

And Saints supporters can donate their books at the upcoming Anglo-Welsh Cup game against the Scarlets on Friday, February 3rd at a special collection point in the Match Day Village at Franklin’s Gardens.

“We’re expanding our volunteer service to introduce a bedside library service for our patients and we’d love to create a collection of Northampton’s favourite reads,” said Emma Wimpress, volunteer services manager at Northampton General Hospital.

“It can be any genre or subject – novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction – as long as it’s a book you’ve enjoyed and you’d happily recommend.

“We’re hoping that by the end of the campaign we have a collection of books that really reflects Northampton’s favourite reading material and give our patients a great choice of books to read while they’re staying with us.”

The hospital is encouraging book donors to post a photo of their donated book on social media using the hashtag #NGHBBC or email a photo and an explanation as to why their donated book is your favourite to [email protected]

Tickets for the Scarlets game are available now by CLICKING HERE and following the straightforward instructions, and by using Print@Home supporters can save themselves the admin fees!

If supporters cannot make the Scarlets game then they can leave their books at the donation point in the main reception at Franklin’s Gardens during opening hours.
