With just four regular rounds left of Aviva Premiership Rugby this season, Saints make the trip to the Ricoh Arena to face current league leaders Wasps in round nineteen of this season’s tournament.

Losing just one Aviva Premiership game since round eight, Wasps have racked up sixteen consecutive competition wins at the Ricoh with their most recent loss their coming in December 2015 to Saracens.

Though losing their most recent Aviva Premiership fixture against Leicester Tigers in a tight affair two weeks ago, Saints secured two good wins before that over Worcester Warriors at Franklin’s Gardens and Sale Sharks at the AJ Bell.

Though sitting in seventh currently the momentum from impressive performances over the last three rounds puts Saints in good stead, especially while still being just three points away from fifth place in the table and only five points off fourth place Tigers.

While Saints have enjoyed a week of rest, this weekend’s opposition endured a tough loss to Leinster in the European Champions Cup, Wasps coming away from the Aviva Stadium with a 32-17 loss to the Irishmen.
