Saints host Quins in sixth place clash

Saints return home for the final Aviva Premiership league game of the season this Saturday to host Harlequins in the battle for automatic qualifications to the European Champions Cup next season.

Saints must win this Saturday's fixture, while also denying Harlequins any league points, if they are to overtake them in the table and secure the all-important sixth place, or win with a full compliment of league points while restricting their guests to just one losing bonus point.

While Saints have lost their last four Aviva Premiership Rugby matches, they have not lost five in a row in the tournament since the 2010/11 season and have lost just four of the nine Premiership ties at the Gardens this season.

Harlequins beat Wasps at Twickenham Stoop last weekend and have won three of their last five Aviva Premiership Rugby matches but the Londoners have only picked up two away wins all season in this competition, at Bristol in round 14 and at Gloucester in round 17.

Harlequins won 20-9 at Twickenham Stoop when the side's faced off earlier in the season to end a seven game losing run to the Saints in all tournaments but they have not achieved a season’s double over the East Midlanders since 2012/13.
