Phil Dowson has named an extended Northampton Saints squad for the side’s trip to Glasgow Warriors this Friday night (12 September, kick-off: 7.30pm).
The men in Black, Green and Gold travel to Scotstoun Stadium for the first time since 2023, when Saints faced off with Glasgow in the Investec Champions Cup.
Northampton ran out 28-19 victors at a wet and windy Scotstoun that day and will be hoping for more of the same from their final preseason outing ahead of the start of their PREM Rugby Cup against Saracens next week.
James Ramm is set to make his first appearance in Black, Green and Gold this season as he captains the side from fullback this Friday, joining new Saints Amena Caqusau and Edoardo Todaro in the back three.
Saints’ midfield is manned by Toby Thame and Rory Hutchinson in Glasgow, while half-backs Archie McParland and Anthony Belleau will steer Saints’ ship from scrum-half and fly-half respectively.
Emmanuel Iyogun will also run out in a Saints shirt for the first time this term in Glasgow as he starts at loosehead prop, joining hooker Craig Wright and new Saints tighthead prop Cleopas Kundiona in the front row.
Tom Lockett and Ed Prowse partner in Northampton’s engine room at Scotstoun, with returning Sam Graham starting behind them at flanker.
Callum Chick dons a Black, Green and Gold shirt for the first time alongside Graham as he starts at No. 8, while Tom Pearson makes his first appearance of this term to complete the back row.
Saints’ name an extended bench of 17 players for the clash, with Northampton’s newcomer Danilo Fischetti primed to make his first appearance in Glasgow.
