Northampton Saints is now recruiting match day staff in a number of areas.

The match day at Franklin’s Gardens is renowned as being one of the very best anywhere in European club rugby, with activities ranging from pre-match age group tournaments, half-time games, and post-match live music and entertainment.

Following the recent expansion of the stadium, the Saints is now looking to bolster its match day team with staff that can be developed into a group that will be the envy of other clubs within the Aviva Premiership and beyond.

Exceptional individuals are required who have the desire to be a success and make a positive impression with the Saints’ thousands of Season Ticket Holders and supporters who pack the stands each week.

Opportunities are now available in the following areas:

MATCH DAY EVENT TEAM

The club needs match day event staff to assist in the following areas:

Social media and communications. The club will be increasing its social media output – Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc – on match days. This would suit event and marketing undergraduates who are looking to build a portfolio and experience. An understanding of the importance of editorial judgement is essential. The club is also recruiting staff to operate the stadium’s big screen and to help manage media facilities. For more information and to send a CV email [email protected]

Community activities. Franklin’s Gardens is a busy place on match days and the community team needs people to assist in its wide range of activities, from face painting to helping out with Bernie Birthdays and pre-match tournaments. This would suit teenagers and young adults aged 16 and over. For more information and to send a CV email [email protected]

Hospitality hosts. Staff are needed to host and look after guests in the variety of suites at Franklin’s Gardens. Customer service experience – particularly in the hospitality industry – is preferred, as is a personable and responsible manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure. SAFETY TEAM, TURNSTILES and CAR PARKING

The club’s stadium management group is seeking to add to its roster of safety team members, turnstile operators and car park attendants. These staff are some of the most important at Franklin’s Gardens; they are a face of the club and sometimes the first people that supporters of any team may come into contact with as a representative of Northampton Saints. So it is imperative that applicants for this role view it seriously and not just a means of watching the team in action!

Members of the safety team and car parking attendants must be aged 18 and over, while turnstile operators must be aged 16 and over. For more information and to send a CV email [email protected]

BARS and CATERING

Franklin’s Gardens has a number of bars, suites, executive boxes and kitchens, and Kudos Knowhow, the Saints’ caterers, are looking to increase the number of staff across all these areas. Bar staff must be aged 18 and over, with waiting staff and kitchen staff aged 16 and over. Bar supervisors and management staff are also being sought, with previous experience in a busy bar and/or restaurant environment essential. For more information and to send a CV email [email protected]

All of the above roles are paid on an hourly rate, and given the nature of professional sport evening and weekend work is to be expected. Full training will be given.
