Saints scrum-half Mitchell called into England’s Six Nations squad

Alex Mitchell has been called up to Eddie Jones’ 28-player England squad, with the side preparing for next weekend’s Six Nations clash against Wales.

The 23-year-old No.9 will join up with the Red Rose at The Lensbury in Teddington, replacing Harry Randall in the group who has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

Wales v England will be played at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday 27 February (kick-off: 4.45pm).

England then face France at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 13 March (kick-off: 4.45pm) before travelling to Dublin to play Ireland on Saturday 20 March (kick-off: 4.45pm).
