Tom Wood leads the side from the back row, with Lee Dickson also starting. Meanwhile Paul Doran Jones, Courtney Lawes and Ben Foden have all been selected on the replacements' bench along with fly half Stephen Myler, who would be winning his first cap if sent into the action.

England are seeking a first ever whitewash over Argentina on their own soil, and Lancaster is expecting a backlash from the Pumas after the tourists' 32-3 in Salta last Saturday.

"We expect Argentina to come back very strongly in front of a big home crowd," he commented. "It's a great challenge and one we are all looking forward to.

"This is a young England side which made a very positive start to the series in Salta. It is great to reward young players who have pushed through this season. They have worked hard to earn their opportunities on this tour."

England's game in Buenos Aires is being shown live on BBC 2, with coverage starting at 8pm.
