Saints staff complete Parish community litter pick

Northampton Saints’ commercial staff today stepped out to clear up St James’ End, undertaking a community litter pick on several streets within The Parish.

Launched ahead of the 2019/20 season, The Parish is a residents-only supporters club for those living in the area that immediately surrounds Franklin’s Gardens, as a way for Northampton Saints to say ‘thank you’ to our neighbours for their support.

With almost 140 years of history, Franklin’s Gardens is an integral part of the St James’ End community, and The Parish allows the Club to give back to our neighbourhood in a tangible way.

Residents who live within the designated zone adjacent to the ground and who sign up to join The Parish are eligible for a number of exclusive benefits – with the Club also committing to undertake an annual community initiative aiming to enhance the area within The Parish boundaries.

“All our staff are keen to demonstrate our ongoing commitment towards our community,” said chief executive Mark Darbon. “We are so grateful for the support of our neighbours not only on matchdays, but also during the summer when we host concerts and other large-scale events, and during the festive season when we welcome local businesses across Northamptonshire for their Christmas parties.

“Franklin’s Gardens will always be a significant landmark within our neighbourhood, and we want to find new ways in which we can engage with those living and working around us so we can strengthen that relationship even further.”

Residents who live within the boundaries of the Parish (which can be found by CLICKING HERE) can sign up at www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/abouttheparish
