Northampton Saints will face Munster Rugby in the Investec Champions Cup Round of 16, after the competition’s Pool stages concluded today.
The men in Black, Green and Gold made it four wins from four in Pool 3 yesterday, as they added a 23-26 victory over Munster to their triumphs over Glasgow Warriors, RC Toulon and Aviron Bayonnais.
And while Saints had already secured a home Round of 16 clash, results elsewhere have confirmed that it will be Munster who make the trip to cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens for the first knock-out round on weekend of 5/6/7 April.
The clash will mark Munster’s second visit to Northampton in as many seasons, and will be the first time that Phil Dowson’s side have been in the Investec Champions Cup knock-out stages since 2020.
