The Saints' young stars started their Premiership Rugby Academies League campaign with a convincing six-try win over local rivals Leicester Tigers.
Ending the first half with three tries under their belts, after James Grayson, Joe Wallace and Tosin Segun crossed the whitewash, the home side continued to push their guests and added another three scores to their tally before the full-time whistle blew.
After Tom Hardwick sent a penalty through to get the scoring started, Grayson got over the whitewash following a strong forwards effort.
He converted his own try and sent another conversion through the uprights just five minutes later when Wallace broke through Leicester’s line with clear space ahead of him and had the legs to finish the score.
Leicester added a score of their own in the form of Corey Lewis as they sent a driving maul over the whitewash.
But Segun added the third score just before the break, getting on the end of a clever chip and chase from Joe Green as the hosts countered at pace.
Leicester ended the scoring of the first half, earning their second score in the corner as Chaz Dixon worked hard to stay in play as he dove over the line.
But after the break it was one way traffic an Ollie Sleightholme and Samson Ma’asi crossed the tryline for the home side within the first 10 minutes - the latter thanks to a breathtaking attack that started in the Saints' own half.
Saints managed to keep their guests out for the entire 35 minutes despite a strong effort from Leicester and a yellow card and Sam Cappaert added the final try on the 65 minute mark, Grayson sending over the conversion to bring the final score to 41-13.
