Northampton Saints will begin this season’s European adventure with a home clash against French giants Clermont Auvergne, after the Challenge Cup pool fixtures were today confirmed for the 2018/19 campaign.
After lifting the trophy in their two previous outings in the Challenge Cup, Saints are looking to make it three trophies from three campaigns, and have been drawn against Clermont, Dragons and Timisoara Saracens in the competition’s group stage.
Northampton will be hoping to replicate their historic 34-21 triumph over Clermont from last season, as they line-up against the Top 14 side in their competition opener.
