Samoan Saints make history

The All Blacks’ first visit to the Pacific Islands is being heralded as an undoubted success, with a raucous full house in Apia treated to a full blooded and brutally physical Test match.

Scrum-half Kahn Fotuali’i played the full 80 minutes in Apia, the Saint joined just after the hour mark by clubmate Ken Pisi.

Heading into the final 10, just six points separated the sides after George Moala and Alafoti Fa’osiliva traded second half tries. A strong All Blacks side would have just too much for their hosts though, Dan Carter kicking a sixth penalty of the afternoon late on to seal their fate.
