Samoan Saints pair start in familiar surroundings

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

stadiummk hosts its second Rugby World Cup fixture of the week on Saturday, with the Saints pair of Kahn Fotuali'i and Ken Pisi in Samoa's starting XV against Japan.

And while the World Cup is new to Milton Keynes, rugby of course is not, the backline duo having both played at the stadium in black, green and gold last season as the Saints saw off Saracens in the Premiership.

It could provide a vital afternoon for the Islanders' hopes of reaching the quarter finals, particularly in the wake of their defeat to a South Africa who were in turn stunned by the Japanese in the opening round of fixtures.

Wing Pisi is all to aware of the dangers posed by the Brave Blossoms and is also looking forward to a slight 'home' advantage.

"We got the backlash of a very good South Africa team but we can't dwell on the past," the wing told PremiershipRugby.com. "We have looked back at the game and we can take a lot of positives from it, despite the mistakes.

"We have to concentrate now on what is going to be a strong Japan side and what they will bring to us. They are not called the Brave Blossoms for nothing.

"We have already had support from the Saints fans, tweets saying they will be there supporting us. It's great to have that base around you so we are really looking forward to stepping out at Milton Keynes."

Kick off is 2:30pm and you can watch the game live on ITV.

Alternatively, a solitary pair of tickets to see the game live at stadiummk are available on StubHub. To snap them up CLICK HERE!
