The group, led by 10-year-old Martha-Rose Gray, are using their journalistic skills to put together a monthly school newspaper, with all moneys raised donated to Towcester-based charity DISC (Disability Inclusive Sports Club).
Dowson answered questions on everything from how often he is allowed to eat McDonald’s, to his most embarrassing moment before having photos taken with the children and fellow Saint Stephen Myler.
DISC, which in 2011 was awarded a Barclays Community Sports award, is a volunteer-run initiative welcoming all children and adults with special needs and their families to get involved in sports, from archery to indoor golf.
