Season Tickets 2020/21: Saints reveal new Ticket Rollover plan for upcoming campaign

Northampton Saints have today revealed a new Ticket Rollover process – a clear plan for supporters who have purchased 2020/21 Season Tickets.

Given uncertainty remains about when supporters will be permitted to return to sports stadia in the UK, it is possible that a significant proportion of Northampton Saints’ 2020/21 campaign will be played behind closed doors or with a limited capacity.

The Club is asking Season Ticket Holders to roll over their 2020/21 Season Ticket to the 2021/22 campaign, while taking advantage of several key benefits;

  • Priority access to buy tickets for any matches in the 2020/21 season where supporters are able to attend.
  • Free access to BT Sport’s Match Pass service for 2020/21 Gallagher Premiership matches held behind closed doors at Franklin’s Gardens*.
  • Free online subscription to Northampton Saints digital matchday programme for 2020/21.
  • Guarantee to keep-your-seat for 2021/22 season.
  • Price freeze on Season Tickets for 2021/22 season.

Season Ticket Holders do not need to do anything to facilitate this roll over – memberships will be automatically transferred to begin next season.

If any supporter does not wish to defer their Season Ticket to the 2020/21 season, they need to contact [email protected] before 5pm on Wednesday 9 December. The Club will discuss alternatives with you which include a refund option, as well as the opportunity to simply donate to the Club if preferred.

Mark Darbon, Northampton Saints Chief Executive, has also released a statement in relation to the Ticket Rollover plan – to read this in full, please CLICK HERE.

Please find below a list of answers to questions that Season Ticket Holders may have about this Ticket Rollover process. If you require any further information which is not covered here, please contact [email protected] – we appreciate your patience and will respond as soon as possible.

* Provided that BT continue to offer the service via Premiership Rugby. Rounds 1-4 have been guaranteed so far, and the provision will be reviewed as the season progresses.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to do to roll over my 2020/21 Season Ticket to the 2021/22 season?
If you have purchased a 2020/21 Season Ticket and would like to transfer your Season Ticket to 2021/22, you do not have to do anything. This will be processed automatically unless you have contacted us to discuss your other options. Please refrain from contacting the Ticket Office to confirm we can roll over your ticket. The Club will be in touch in December to confirm your Season Ticket has been rolled over.

I am happy for Saints to roll over my Season Ticket to 2021/22. What happens if crowds are able to attend some matches at Franklin’s Gardens in the 2020/21 season?
If you have transferred your Season Ticket, you will retain a number of important benefits which are exclusive to Season Ticket Holders. If we are able to welcome crowds back to Franklin’s Gardens during the 2020/21 season, you will have priority access – putting you at the very front of the queue to purchase tickets match by match. If demand exceeds supply for these games, there will be a ballot to allocate tickets amongst all priority access holders.

If crowds are able to return to Franklin’s Gardens, will I be able to sit in my usual matchday seat?
We cannot guarantee that you will have access to your usual matchday seat during the 2020/21 season. Certain sections and blocks may be unavailable depending on any restrictions that are in place at the time of the specific match, for example capacity restrictions or social distancing requirements in the stadium.

What happens to my existing Season Ticket for the 2020/21 season?
Unless you contact us to discuss alternative options, your existing 2020/21 Season Ticket will be rolled over to the 2021/22 campaign. The Club will not be issuing any 2020/21 Season Ticket Cards.

How will I receive my BT Sport Match Pass?
Ahead of any home match which will be played behind closed doors during the 2020/21 season, the Club will email all those who have rolled over their Season Tickets with a unique match code, so they are able to watch the game online at home. Full instructions for how to download the BT Sport app and use Match Pass will be shared ahead of each game via email and the Club’s website.

How will I receive my free digital matchday programme?
The Club will email a link to download and view Northampton Saints’ matchday programme to everyone who has rolled over their Season Tickets, ahead of every home match during the 2020/21 season.

If I roll over my 2020/21 Season Ticket, what do I need to do when 2021/22 Season Tickets go on sale?
If you roll over your membership to 2021/22, you don’t need to do anything further. Your seat is secure and your ticket is fully paid for, so you do not need to take any further action. The Club will be in touch in December to confirm your Season Ticket has been rolled over.

If I am currently paying for my 2020/21 Season Ticket by direct debit and wish to roll over, when will I make my final payments?
Your scheduled payments in November 2020 and December 2020 will still be collected as normal, and you will then have no direct debit payments to make in 2021 for the 2021/22 season.

I am a seasonal hospitality guest / box holder – will my Season Ticket also be rolled over to 2021/22?
A member of our Sales and Hospitality team will be in touch regarding your package. Please contact [email protected] if you require more information, and we will endeavour to come back to you within five working days.

Can I still donate the value of my Season Ticket back to the Club if I would prefer that over the Rollover option?
If you would prefer to donate the value of your 2020/21 Season Ticket back to Northampton Saints, rather than defer your ticket to next season, the Club will gratefully accept your contribution given the significant financial challenges we currently face as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic – please email [email protected] specifying this preference and a member of our ticketing team will be in touch to discuss this option with you.

How do I inform the Club that I do not wish to roll over my Season Ticket to 2021/22?
Please email [email protected], making sure to quote your name and Season Ticket membership number, and a member of our ticketing team will be in touch to discuss your options. We appreciate your patience and will respond as soon as possible – please do not email us twice, as we respond to all enquiries chronologically, and you will move yourself back to the bottom of the queue.

What is the deadline to inform the Club if I do not wish to transfer my Season Ticket to 2021/22?
Members will have until 5pm on Wednesday 9 December to inform the Club of their preference.

What happens if I do not respond before this deadline?
A lack of response before the deadline will result in Northampton Saints automatically transferring your Season Ticket over to the 2021/22 campaign and relevant terms and conditions will apply – and you will be able to take advantage of all the benefits associated with the Rollover option.

If I do not transfer my Season Ticket to 2021/22 and opt to take a refund, will I still have priority access to match tickets for 2020/21 when they become available?
By electing to receive a refund now, you will be forfeiting your full Season Ticket Holder status and all associated benefits for the 2020/21 season – such as priority access to any match tickets that become available during the 2020/21 campaign, a guaranteed price freeze for next season, and free use of BT’s Match Pass service.

How long will refunds take to process?
Refunds will be processed within 90 days of when you email the Club.

If I select a refund, where will that be paid?
All refunds will be paid back via your original payment method.

Once I have emailed the Club, can I change my mind?
If your circumstances change and you would like to alter your option, please email [email protected] and we will endeavour to make any requested changes – however, once any refund is processed, it cannot be retracted and we cannot guarantee the availability of your original seat.

My card has expired – how do I get my refund?
We cannot issue a refund to any new cards you might have. On the advice of our bank, we only refund the card that was originally used to pay – this is to make sure that the refund goes to the right place. Most of the time, if you've had a replacement card for the same account the refund will go into your account automatically and you won't need to do anything.

If you have any questions regarding this, please contact [email protected]. If the refund still isn't appearing in your account 15 days after we have processed it, please contact your card issuer. They'll be holding the funds for you and will be able to arrange a transfer to your new account. Unfortunately, we can't reclaim the money and issue the refund to a new card for you.

I paid for my Season Ticket with cash; do I have to wait for the Ticket Office to reopen before I can claim a refund?
If you paid for your tickets with cash, and wish to claim a refund, please email [email protected] and we will be in contact as soon as possible to discuss the best way in which to process your refund.

I purchased multiple Season Tickets and wish to claim a refund. Can I submit one email for all my Season Tickets?
Yes, but please quote all relevant Season Ticket membership numbers in your email.

What will happen to my car parking pass?
All car parking passes purchased for the 2020/21 season will also be rolled over to 2021/22, unless you contact us to discuss alternatives. Please email [email protected] to discuss your options.

If I have a query about the Ticket Rollover plan, should I call the Ticket Office?
As we will be fulfilling a large volume of requests and a large proportion of our staff are still working remotely, we politely ask that supporters do not phone the Saints Ticket Office. If you have a question which is not answered above and you do need to speak to us, please be patient and email any questions to [email protected] – a member of our team will come back to you as soon as possible.
