Sixteen feet of new bar space in the Rodber Suite

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

This summer’s refurbishment of the Rodber Suite has seen the addition of 16 feet of new bar serving space to reduce queues and speed up serving time for supporters attending Saints matches.

The new bars have been installed at the end of the Rodber Suite which had been previously occupied by the carvery, the space having been freed up by the development of the Club Heroes match day restaurant.

They will serve Carlsberg, Tetley’s and Guinness and are in addition to the existing speed bars, choice bars and cask ale bars in the Rodber Suite.

The Saints team will continue to have their post-match meal in the Rodber Suite, but now in the Captain’s Suite end of the room, and there will be live music in the Rodber Suite soon after the final whistle.

As well as the new bar serving space in the Rodber Suite, additional seats have been installed in the Members Bar in the Barwell Stand for those supporters who wish to rest their legs before and after the match.

The Members Bar is also where supporters can beat the bar queues by ordering their drinks in advance using the Line Cheetah app on their smartphone; CLICK HERE for more information about this special service!

The extra bars which had been installed during 2015/16 will remain in place for the coming season, with serving space outside the Tetley’s Stand/Elite Insurance Stand corner throughout the day, and in the Barwell/Church’s Stand corner during half-time. This is in addition to the Marquee and Real Ale bars which are both in the Match Day Village.

Deposit refund points for glasses will be open in the Rodber Suite (2), Match Day Village and Members Bar throughout the day, with an additional point in the Barwell Stand/Church’s Stand corner after the game.

The Match Day Village has also seen a change in how the food units have been organised to reduce the overlaps of queues, with Frank’s of Northampton introducing new street food in addition to their available range, not forgetting the always-popular Saul’s of Spratton pork rolls, of course!

Supporters who would like to check out the new Macron range can visit the expanded Trinity Store in the Village, which is some 50 percent bigger than in previous seasons and reduces the need for visiting the main Saints Shop.
